Not only is a business plan an great resource for you to manage your business more successfully, but it’s also a huge part of getting funding and creating business partnerships. This business plan serves you as a tool that will show investors that investing in your company is a smart move.

So I’m going to break this plan down for you and down below their will be two FREE pintables and for you to get started with your planning.

Business Plan:

Executive Summary: Your executive summary will serve as your company’s overview. Summaries what your business is about and the products/services it offers. You should include your company’s mission statement. Give some information about your employees, location, and financial information.

Company Description: This section is all about the who, what, where, and when of your business. What problem does your product or service intend on to solve, who does your business plan on serving, what are your strengths and how does this give you an advantage against your competitors. Don’t be afraid to boast about your business and the competitive advantages you have.

Market Analysis: Conduct market analysis about your industry and your target market. Do your research and find out what businesses are in your industry. What are their strengths and what makes them so successful? How will you out preform them?

Organization & Management: Explain how your company will be organized and who will be involved in it. Who will your management be comprised of? Indicate the different roles on your team. It makes it easier when you break it down in a hierarchy (or pyramid). Starting with the CEO or founder, your management team, your support professionals, and other team members. What type of business structure do you intent on creating? An LLC, an SP, LP, etc…

Service or Product: Explain in detail the product or service you offer and how will it benefit the consumer. If you have any plan on copyright or patents explain it here. Explain research and development of your product or service.

Marketing and Sales: Here you’ll present your marketing strategy and how you’ll attract those customers. How will your sales happen?

Funding: Outline your funding requirements and explain how much funding you’re going to need and how investments will be used. Specify what you need the funds for, (salary, materials, or any expenses). How will you pay off this debt?

Financial projections: How will your business be a financial success? If you’re requiring funding, then provide a financial outlook at how you’ll manage the money and how you’ll allocate the money.

Appendix: Here you’ll add any documents requested such as, credit history, product photography, permits, patents, legal documents, etc…
