What is an E-girl?

Chances are you’ve probably spotted an e-girl in her natural habitat while on TikTok, Instagram, or Tumblr… You know, the cute girls with the rosy blushed cheeks, pink blushed nose, wing eyeliner, colored hair, and spend their time immersed in the internet. This hypersexualized child aesthetic was borrowed from anime inspired make-up & fashion (aka kawaii).

The rise on the e-girl was began trending on the famous app, TikTok, as a meme. Though the term, “e-girl” was used to slut-shame girls on the internet, our newest generation has changed the stereotype. Rebecca Jennings says, “E-girl might just be a synonym for being a young female and very online”.

·      High waisted circle or skater skirt

·      Chain necklace

·      Pink blush for the cheeks
·      Coral pink eyeshadow lids
·      Long black eyeliner
·      Draw a heart with liquid liner or heart stamp under the eyes
·      Full false lashes
·      Soft pink lip gloss
·      Freckles if you’re feeling extra
Hair style & Accessories
·      Colorful clips
·      Colorful hair ties
·      Colorful wig (preferably with bangs)
·      Pig tails
